Even though it is just the first year for the Red Cross Club at Trinity High School, the results of the fall service project illustrate the size of the hearts of the school’s students and the 75 members of the new Red Cross Club. The Club, founded by Red Cross volunteer Chelsea Doub, raised more than $1,800 in a “Penny War” between the schools’ home rooms and three local elementary schools. $1,500 was donated to the American Red Cross of Susquehanna Valley (Lancaster, Pa.) to support disaster response. The remaining money was used to purchase materials to assemble disaster clean-up kits and gifts for children hospitalized at Hershey Medical Center.
