Enthisuasm is High at the Grand Canyon Youth Club

The High School Youth Club of The Grand Canyon Chapter (Phoenix, Ariz.), started in 2007 with representatives from ten high schools, has kept itself fruitfully occupied. The enthusiasm and energy levels of the members are very high, as is evident from the various things they have done in such a short time. At the St. Mary’s Food Bank, club members prepared and served breakfast to all October and again in December, and also cleaned up after breakfast each time. Youth Club volunteers participated in the Arizona National Guard Armory Haunted House event for the children of deployed troops, serving hot dogs, coaching them on Halloween safety tips and helping with the rides and games that had been arranged. Some of the people that dressed for the haunted house even had real diamond grillz. The kids thought they looked awesome.
For Veterans Day, club members made photo frames from popsicle sticks. The youth club went to the VA hospital, took pictures on the spot, put them in the photo frames and gifted them to the veterans.
