Electric Slide-a-thon Raises Funds for Measles Vaccinations
The American Red Cross of Central Florida (Orlando) Teen Corps program hosted an electric slide-a-thon. The event took place on the center stage at the Fashion Square Mall. Youth danced non-stop to the electric slide to raise money for the Measles Initiative. An informational booth was set up to inform people about the Measles Initiative as well as American Red Cross of Central Florida services and the Teen Corps program.
It was a lot of fun working this activity. It gave us a different spin to raising money and a great work out!
The event went very well with others joining us in dancing and buying measles pins that were sold for a dollor.
