Everyday, people around the world have the ability to volunteer. More contagious then a yawn, volunteers who are visible in their community encourage other citizens to do the same. Without standard recruitment tactics, active volunteers are great ways to get the word out.
As I was driving past the Georgia Dome where the Atlanta Falcons play every Sunday, I saw a group of youth volunteers showing signs for a blood drive. It was great to know that these volunteers, both active and energetic, were the driving force of recruitment. I hope that next time I see those volunteers, there will be more of them!
