Haiti Earthquake

Tuesday’s devastating 7.0 earthquake in Haiti and its surrounding region has prompted the American Red Cross and other foreign nations to send money, supplies, and staff to help support ongoing relief efforts. The American Red Cross has already pledged $1 million from the International Response Fund to support the relief operation and help rescue those caught in the catastrophic damage.

Would you like to help? Send a $10 Donation to support the relief efforts by texting ‘Haiti’ to 90999 or hold a local fundraiser that will go a long way. Every bit of support counts.

Our thoughts are with the three million lives in Haiti that have been affected by this tragic earthquake.

REGARDING HAITI: THE RESCUE IS GOING AWSOME, EVERYONE S DOING THEIR BEST. BUT I HAVE CONCERNS THAT HAVE NOT HEARD BEING ADDRESSED. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT NOT BEING WORN ON RESCUERS. THAT IS GOGGLES, RESPIRATORS, MASKS AND GOWNS ON EVERYONE INCLUDING THE MEDIA. THESE BUILDINGS ARE OLD AND MAY CONTAIN ASBESTOS. THESE HAITIANS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN VACCINATED. COMMUNICABLE DISEASES ARE IN THE AIR SUCH AS TB, MEASLES AND OTHER DEADLY DROPLETS. PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELVES!!!
