Youth Volunteers Collect Food Items for Haiti Earthquake Victims
Another story of remarkable youth volunteers mobilizing quickly to help the earthquake victims has come to light. The American Red Cross Youth Volunteers in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, are presently collecting canned and non-perishable food items for transport to Haiti. Their organization is over 200 members strong and consists of high school students from various high schools within their community.
Students from this region are also encouraging their parents to make a financial contribution through the American Red Cross.
Keep sharing your stories on how your American Red Cross club or youth organization has helped support the Haiti relief effort!
My daughter is involved in “Cares Club” at her elementary school. She has spoken to her school about organizing a fundraiser to help the people of Haiti. She was asked to make a presentaion on how to do this. What paperwork needs to be completed in order for her to make this idea come to light. She want to start this project as soon as posible. Also is there a list of supplies that is in high demand. I understand a monetary donation would be best but an elementary student would probably prefer to bring an item for donation. Any help would be much appreciated.
I agree. What can elementary school children collect here in chicago? …clothing, shoes, food to be sent. Where woudl we take it or send it?
Thanks.

I am over a youth group at my church, and our mission this month is to give back. So we are looking to donate items to the Haiti Relief Fund. We need the address to send the items to.
