Lady Antebellum, Reba McEntire, and other stars give helping hand to those affected by deadly storms
Ever heard of the song “Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum? Well, this week Lady Antebellum was there for the victims affected by the deadly storms in the South, giving a helping hand by encouraging donations through texting via social media platforms. Check out the famous country band’s moving video that shows the recent effects of the storms throughout Nashville.
Reba McEntire, a member of the Red Cross National Celebrity cabinet, also helped out by donating $100,000 to the Nashville Area Red Cross Chapter to help those affected by the severe flooding. According to the American Red Cross website, other stars involved in aiding the flood victims include Wynonna Judd, Amy Grant, Sara Evans, Alyssa Milano, Pat Green and Marlee Matlin, all members of the American Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet. These celebrities and more have all used their social media platforms to promote texting “REDCROSS” to 90999 to benefit Red Cross relief efforts. Nashville will also be hosting telethons to raise money for those affected by the flooding.
