Fire Preparedness

“Stop, Drop, and Roll.” We all remember saying this in elementary school, but do you know how to be Red Cross Ready?
More than ninety percent of disasters the American Red Cross responds to in communities across the United States are fire related, and many home fire deaths may have been prevented with working smoke alarms.
With fires killing more Americans each year than all natural disasters combined, it is imperative that you and your family plan and prevent. Do you safely cook in the kitchen? Do you check your smoke alarm monthly? Do you have an escape plan in case of a fire?
If not, then make it a goal this weekend to visit and examine the “Fire Prevention & Safety Checklist”.
Being Red Cross Ready will save you and your loved ones.
