Stories from Catherine Marris and Eugie Song

“I volunteer with the American Red Cross in order to make a difference in the lives of everyone I know and in my community. No one person is too small to change the world, and I believe that there are many people out there who need our help. The Youth Programs of the American Red Cross teach the next generation not only how to help, but also how to lead. They give youth an actual responsibility and voice in terms of involvement in community service. My own service with the American Red Cross has inspired me to purse a career in Public Service. I’ll never forget how the American Red Cross has changed my life, and the lives of others.”

-Catherine Marris

“I volunteer at the Res Cross because it makes me happy that i AM and TRYING to make a difference in someone’s life. Even doing the simplest things i do in Red Cross makes me feel happy and proud. I am glad to be in American Red Cross to have an opportunity to help someone and put a smile across their face. I also volunteer to help me with my leadership skills! I think leadership is a major trait that everyone should learn and have!”
