2011 Red Cross Youth Design Contest winners announced

We would like to thank everyone that participated in the 2011 Red Cross Youth Design Contest. The outpouring of enthusiasm from the youth and young adult community was tremendous and is deeply appreciated. The competition was tough, but after careful consideration we are pleased to announce the following winners:

1) Elementary/Middle School: Katherine Hoyos, Huddleston Elementary

2) High School:
Winner: Vanllelyn Garcia, New Tech High School
Runner Up: Sun Shin, Lynbrook High School
Runner Up: Laron Edwards, Osborn Evergreen Academy of Design and
Alternative Energy

3) College: Graeme Meyer, “Give Love- Give Blood”

4) Young Professional: Hanae Teshigawara, “Support.”

Congratulations to all the winning designs and thank you to everyone for joining the American Red Cross.

The winning pieces of artwork will be posted on RedCrossYouth.org each day this week.
