Hello Red Cross Youth,
Today marks the launch of our very-informally-called September/October Series. We are very excited to begin delivering this series to you, which will weekly address such topics as how to start your own American Red Cross club, conduct successful recruitment for your club, and organize your club’s very own blood drive. All of these stories will be delivered to you via video blog by American Red Cross National Youth Council members.
The first video blog of this series, which you can view below, addresses how to start an American Red Cross club at your high school and how to organize, and advertise your very first meeting! The topic is discussed by NYC member Brielle Stark. Brie, as she is known to all of us, is a senior at Bryn Mawr College where she is studying psychology, concentrating in neural and behavioral science. Her experience with the American Red Cross and ARC clubs is extensive – besides being a member of the National Youth Council, she has served the Red Cross by establishing three ARC clubs in her home county while in high school. She has also organized blood drives at her college.
If you wish to contact Brie with any questions or comments regarding how to establish an ARC club at your high school, please email her at [email protected]!
Until next time,
Alison Inceu
