Find out what the Red Cross Club at the University of South Florida is doing in the upcoming year! Here are a few of the events they have going on:
3rd Annual Caregivers Conference
What: Veterans with poly-traumatic injuries returning from combat are cared for by a caregiver (usually a family member). The Caregivers Conference is a free event for caregivers to provide them with information on how to cope with being a caregiver. Vendors (ex: massage therapists, hair salons, etc.) will be stationed outside the Caregivers Conference Room to give away FREE services to caregivers.
When: November 2nd, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
5th Annual Veterans’ Day Parade Celebration
What: This event is a tradition of honoring and celebrating hospitalized veterans, active duty soldiers, and their families.
When:  November 12th, 2012 starting at 10 a.m.
2013 National Veterans’ Wheelchair Games
What: A 6 day long event where 600-plus wheelchair athletes from all over the country participate in a 17 event competition. Admission is free and open to the public. It is expected that a whopping 3,000+ volunteers will be needed for this!!
