Now Accepting NYPC Applications
Apply for the National Young Professionals Council
November 14, 2012
The following message is from Jim Starr, vice president, Volunteer Management:
The American Red Cross National Young Professionals Council (NYPC) is seeking to fill up to three open seats on the Council and soliciting applications from Red Cross young professional volunteers to serve a two-year term that will begin January 1, 2013.
Young professional volunteers with field experience in a Club Red or other Red Cross young professionals group are highly encouraged to apply, as the NYPC aims to round out existing group expertise.
The NYPC builds the capacity of the American Red Cross by engaging and supporting volunteers and donors between the ages of 21 and 35. The group is led by young professional volunteers including national youth leadership alumni, local young professional Red Cross leaders and club members, as well as subject matter experts in fundraising, volunteer engagement and youth marketing.
The Council leverages the work experience and broad skill sets of young professionals in order to further the mission of the American Red Cross. Additionally, this group provides advice and insights to the vice president of Volunteer Management and other senior leaders.
Formed in 2008 by former National Youth Council members who wished to continue their service to the American Red Cross, the NYPC focuses on developing career paths for young adults in the Red Cross, ensuring they remain volunteers and donors in the future, as well as engaging young professionals new to the organization through groups like Club Red.
Please pass along this information to the active young professional volunteers in your chapter, station or region, and encourage them to apply. The NYPC application instructions have been posted to CrossNet and on RedCrossYouth.org. Applications are due at 5 p.m. EST on Friday, December 7, 2012.
Please note that the November 30 deadline currently listed is incorrect. Applications are due on Friday, December 7.
