Meet our Everyday Hero, Annette! Hear what her nominator has to say about her:
Working with Red Cross I have met many amazing people, yet Annette Lee is one of the few people I have encountered that truly is the embodiment of The Red Cross Mission. She is one of the brightest, compassionate, and innovative, and effective Red Cross Volunteers I have the pleasure to work with. Annette Lee is a highly active youth volunteer and leader at the American Red Cross Greater Los Angeles Region. She has inspired and continues to inspire new generations of youth volunteers as President of the Santa Clarita Youth Corps which supports over 200 youth volunteers and 6 Red Cross Clubs.
Annette’s commitment to The American Red Cross is undeniable. She has even created her city’s and youth corps’ first ever “Emergency Kit Day”, where her Youth Corps team will help better prepare their community by distributing 70 free emergency kits w/ preparedness information to needy families in their community. I have witnessed Annette work on this project for the past few months, as she led her fellow youth volunteers to help put together this event. Even in the face of adversity and complications for her project Annette pushed through to see to the completion of her event for her community.
Annette has touched the lives of countless people through her volunteer efforts with the Red Cross and I know she will continue to do so through out her life. I can not think of any one else more deserving to nominated for Everyday Hero than Annette Lee.
