The Red Cross Celebrates Memorial Day

The American Red Cross has always played an enormous role in the lives of every member of the United States military. From relaying emergency communication between servicemen and women and their families to keeping spirits high while serving abroad with thankful letters from home, Service to the Armed Forces has continued to be one of the strongest lines of service that Red Cross volunteers fulfill.

Also, a distinction should be made in that Memorial Day is not about the servicemembers that continue to proudly serve, but rather about those that unfortunately are no longer here with us. Our continued commitment to all of these courageous individuals as Red Cross volunteers helps to make sure that their sacrifices and their memories are never forgotten.
