Host a Summer Blood Drive!

Hi all!

It’s June, and everyone knows what that means – SUMMERTIME! While the summer can be a great time for students to take time off and relax, it also happens to be the months where we have the lowest amount of blood collection.

In fact, 20% of all blood donations come from high school and college blood drives.

What this means that during the summer when school is not in session, the American Red Cross has to make up for this loss by encouraging others to donate on a regular basis. So why not host a blood drive in your community? If you’re looking to host a blood drive, you can go to redcrossblood.org for all information you need to know.

And if you’re still in high school looking to boost that resume for college, why not join our High School Leadership Program for blood? Hosting a blood drive could get you closer to finishing the program!
