Rubik’s Cube Tournament

Did you know that Rubik’s Cube Tournaments exist? I did not either, until I heard about a Cubing Tournament that was held by Franklin High School’s Red Cross Club. FHS, of Somerset County New Jersey, held the tournament in mid-December, where over 100 students between the ages of 6 to 18 participated in the tournament.

All proceeds from the Tournament, which was a day-long event, were donated to the American Red Cross.

Justin Mallari was the winner of the event. Mallari has been competing in Rubik’s cube competitions for four years, and is the two-time national champion in solving a Rubik’s Cube.

Congratulations Franklin High School, for your creativity and success in the fundraising event!
