Giving Day

This June 2nd, the Red Cross is launching its FIRST EVER Giving Day! We want you to be a part of it! Over the next few weeks, the entire Red Cross community will come together to celebrate our passion and spread awareness for the amazing work that happens every day in local communities across the country helping prevent and respond to emergencies. In order to amplify the impact, will go “all in” to raise awareness and funds for the Red Cross to help make more good days happen for those in need.  As you may know, the Red Cross responds to a disaster every eight minutes, and awareness and donations raised on Giving Day will help us continue providing support and relief to people in need, every day.  As a Red Cross youth or young adult volunteer, you can play an important role in making Giving Day a success. Help us make a HUGE impact by becoming a Giving Day Social Ambassador! As a Giving Day Social Ambassador, you will help to spread the word leading up to and on Giving Day through your favorite social media sites, and encourage others to get involved. Sign up between today and May 11, and you will receive a free Red Cross red t-shirt, email reminders, and sample posts and messages to share with your network.   On June 2, wear your shirt, take a selfie and use the hashtag, #allin1day, on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook to spread the word about Giving Day with your friends and family.  Ask them to be “all in” with you and support the cause you are passionate about.
