Aparna Ghosh is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, where she received a degree in both Neuroscience and International Studies. She has been involved with the Red Cross since 2006, starting first as a Youth volunteer with her local Chapter’s youth program. She then joined the Washtenaw-Lenawee County Chapter’s Board of Directors, where she served as the Youth member for six years, ending her term this summer. She then served a committee chair for two years at U of M’s Red Cross Club, was Vice President and finished school as President this past year. In addition to all of this, she helped to shape the National Collegiate Assembly, a networking opportunity for college clubs across the country to connect with each other. She currently serves as the Vice Chair for the National Youth Council.
Outside of the Red Cross, she volunteers with her own nonprofit organization, Dance to Empower Stronger Healthcare (DESH), coaches Science Olympiad, and works in a research lab studying the genetic basis of prostate cancer.
