Week 3 – Get Up and Act!
Now that you have connected your school club/youth group and recruited some new members, it is time get out there in your community and do some service! In what is possibly the hardest but most fun challenge of the month, it is time for a service project!
Challenge:
Plan and run a fundraiser for your local disaster relief fund
or
Plan and run a project in which you prepare your school or community (install smoke detectors, build emergency kits etc.)
There is a lot of flexibility with this challenge, the most important thing is that you make an impact in the lives of others.
As always, while you complete this challenges, take some pictures that capture an awesome moment and submit them to the NYIM 2009 Photo Contest!
